Out running errand today

A route I frequently travel.

I see a cop car, lights on, behind a long line of cars on the shoulder of the road. Mind you, this is in the middle of absolutely nowhere in Tipton County, TN...

So I get past that mess, through an intersection, & the line picks back up, with a cop standing beside his car, lights flashing, and another very long line of cars.

So I was thinking maybe after school pick up line...

Hell no! It was the county health department with digital flashing sign for covid testing today!

I'll be watching news to see if there is yet another huge explosion of case #s.

Shelby County Health Dept has not had articles in the news lately...

So I went to NYT data. Over 2,900 new cases today, the way I am interpreting the data!

Holy hell! This is a region which had 20-40 new cases / day just a few weeks ago!
