You just can't win with some people

My cousin who was deployed to Afghanistan quite a few times is now more concerned that they're going to come and get us ( Taliban) than concerned about domestic terrorism which is growing quite more rapidly here at home. Seriously man I tell you what some people are so stuck in their own damn time it's sad. The Taliban ain't coming for us. Your fucking fellow nutjobs are the ones who want to turn America into Afghanistan. You find me the difference between both fundamentalists. I see a splitting image except America has a democracy still.

They’d be bombed into oblivion, become international pariahs, and open the door to all kinds of negative consequences. The Taliban is acting like they will play ball because they know there is no future in terrorism. They certainly don’t benefit. I’m not sure if they’re all done with it but harming people thousands of miles away does nothing for them. Their best hope is to reform their image and collect international aid.

If they were to start publishing videos of captured US troops being beheaded while yelling Allah U Akbar, I think quite a few revenue-producing fields of opium poppies might experience some missile-assisted climate change. I'm sure the word has gone out not to do it. There can always be a few revenge-seeking renegades who lost relatives to fighting in previous years. But their leadership has access to plenty of unfortunate Afghans who can satisfy the blood thirst of the rank and file without beheading people whose countrymen can and will rain destruction upon them from afar. The Taliban have plenty of weapons, but they can't eat, drive, sleep in, or treat their sick with weapons.

7. That of course won't happen. The Taliban don't want to get bombed back to the stone age.

We didn't lose the war. The Afghan army refused to fight for their own country when Joe Biden decided no more American lives or American treasury was going to be wasted there.

And btw, 2000 Americans were evacuated today and will be tormorrow so take your concern to a site where it'll be believed and appreciated.

what's their maximum occupancy and how stealthy are they?

How. The. Hell. Are. They. Getting. Here?

People who have been there and back themselves have no goddamned excuse for acting pig ignorant about how fucking far away it is, or how resource intensive it is to go from there to here en masse.

Unless the Saudis back them like last time. But since America kinda went 1984 at airports. I don't think they'll be able to do that again. But idk what the hell she talks about. They aren't gonna come for us. For all I care. Let them have that country so long as we got our people home and any refugees that wanna leave too.

Bin Ladin out of there. And certainly once Obama got Bin Ladin. The Afghanis can have the country to determine its own destiny. If they can't keep the Taliban out, so be it.

We should get all Americans out, along with the Afghanis who helped us.

This fear of the Taliban coming to kill us is so over-the-top ridiculous now. This isn't 2001. Its 2021 and now we have our own home grown right wing terrorists to deal with

from their own boosting, online uploads of their videos and photos, and we thank them for exposing themselves. The uploads have given the FBI and DHS all kinds of info on them and their contacts and I'm sure they are being monitored as we speak.

As far as the Taliban, I've yet to hear of that land locked country's navy and it's capability to ferry troops, weaponry and supplies south via the Indian Ocean and then across either the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans to reach our shores. Not gonna happen.

Same with the fabled Taliban air force's ability to deliver long range, first strike attacks upon us after having flown over the air space of the several countries of Asia and Europe they'd have to get permission from to do so. I haven't heard of that either.

9. Why would they send terrorists to America when republicans are already doing their job for them?

Yeah that sounds snarky, but in all seriousness, it's not hard to imagine some "radical islamic terrorist" group having considered sending a team of jihadists to America with instructions to refuse the vaccine, refuse to wear masks, then to mingle with crowds in order to acquire COVID, then mingle with more crowds to spread it.

In fact, this is *literally* one of a few scenarios widely discussed in the days after 9/11, the scenario of terrorists using their own bodies as vectors for a biological disease.

Why didn't they do that to help spread COVID? Because republicans are already doing their job for them.
