I heard on CNN that the perimeter around the airport had not yet been secured by the American troops.
Also, it was reported that Mullah Baradar had flown out of Qatar and had landed in Kandahar to a hero's welcome.
Known as Baradar the Butcher, his welcome was compared to the return of Ayatollah Khomeini to Iran in 1979.
Is he the actual leader of the Taliban? Will he be arriving in Kabul in the next day or two to take control of the operation? And the government?

(12,222 posts)as to the Taliban leader, I guess he's one of them. The leaders are violent and are killers. The agreement between shithole and the Taliban is a shitty one with no concerns for the Afghans.

(12,047 posts)Airports have huge perimeters, I saw groups of our snipers and armored vehicles targeting the fences, yeah, pretty secure for a warzone.
