Elder, Caitlyn Jenner, and former candidate for governor Cox have the most name recognition among the Republicans.

Democrats didn't run a strong alternative to Newsom, for obvious but risky reasons. A 29-year-old with some mild name recognition from his financial advice videos on YouTube is running himself but trailing Elder by 10 points or so.

A situation worthy of these insane times when a depraved orange clown could actually run for president, although of course it couldn't possibly happen. Except that Republicans are as usual aggressively hostile and more motivated to vote and Democrats are as usual more complacent.
