Vice: One of QAnon's Most Antisemitic Influencers Is Actually a 39-Year-Old Baptist From Florida

One of QAnon’s most prolific, popular, and antisemitic influencers has been revealed to be a deeply religious 39-year-old Trump supporter in Florida.

Researchers at Logically on Friday published an investigation into the identity of GhostEzra, an antisemitic QAnon figure, identifying him as Robert Randall Smart of Boca Raton.

In October 2020, Smart attended Donald Trump Jr.’s Fighters Against Socialism tour “with his Colombian wife and their small son,” and was quoted in the South Florida Sun Sentinel about the dangers of socialism: “It starts small. A little bit here and a little bit there, and it turns into a Venezuela.”

Smart also appears to be deeply religious. His online accounts show him checking into several evangelical Baptist churches in his area, and his family’s social media accounts are filled with religious images and memes.

But the online persona of GhostEzra, which Smart has crafted since it first emerged in December 2020, is deeply disturbing.

The account has made claims about Jewish control of Big Pharma, the media, and central banking. The account has also claimed that Jews are responsible for both world wars and that the people who “identify as Jewish but are not actually even Jews” have a goal of “total world domination and control.” He has linked his followers multiple times to neo-Nazi propaganda, including a 12-hour film that, among other claims, asserts that Jews created communism with a goal of “total world domination.”

Smart was unmasked by the investigators after he posted several of his own photos through his GhostEzra account. One of the photos showed the Florida Emergency Alerts Systems displayed on a television set.

While the image posted to Telegram showed only the portion of the picture with the screen, by altering the exposure on the image, Logically’s researchers were able to reveal the rest of the image—which included pictures of Smart’s family lined up above the TV.

It looks like this crazy is one of the ones who motivated Jimmy Carter to move from the Southern Baptist Convention to another Baptist group which was more rational.

Alongside photos shared from a variety of sources to the GhostEzra Telegram channel, a number of screenshots of a specific Android phone were posted which appeared to be originals. This provided further ways to narrow our search, by referring to certain apps and services they used which were visible in the phone's status bar in the posted screenshots. On the first of March, GhostEzra posted a screenshot of a YouTube livestream he was viewing. In the bottom-left corner, “Chat publicly as Robert S...” was displayed in the livestream chatbox featuring a black silhouette and a question mark as a profile picture.

With this information, we were able to identify Google and Yelp review accounts, where a Robert S with the same profile picture had posted over 100 reviews in the Boca Raton area, including a review of the Shell gas station that was included in the GhostEzra post, as well as a number of restaurants, amenities, and other locations in the area. Notably, Robert S reviewed the local Jewish Center with one star, writing “not nice.”

It is also of little surprise how few know, or more importantly, acknowledge this. These "classic" anti-Semitic tropes are making a roaring comeback, not just in original form, but in coded forms as well.

I wouldn't imagine Boca Raton would at the top of the list.

I worked there in the 1990s and it and the surrounding area is a haven for adorable theater-loving Jewish snow-birds wintering from the upper east coast.

It did not start with "they killed Christ" - it was long before that.

Looked at in one way, it lends credence to the theory that the Jews are "the chosen people" - of whom everyone else is envious and therefore out to get them.

I have occasionally heard of a Jewish person praying, "God, couldn't you please choose somebody else?"

And, no it's not funny.

Especially given TFG routinely breaks all Ten Commandments. Also, how does one square being a follower of Christ, a Middle Eastern Jew, and being rabidly anti-Semitic?

The negligible amount of attention I've given the Q thing was that they had been identified as father-son idiots founders of a (different) wingnut website. The article says the Q departed to pursue more "mainstream"-acceptable content? So they're gone?

has it ever occurred to anyone that Boca Raton translates literally as "mouse mouth" (and actually should be "Boca de Raton&quot ? I suppose it's at the mouth of the Raton River, but still.

Also, when my dad was doing his PhD research in Baja California, he reported that Mickey Mouse was referred to there as "Miguelito Ratoncito". Is he still so called in Spanish speaking communities?
