Six months after her husband was charged in connection with the U.S. Capitol insurrection, a Springfield Christian elementary school teacher faces the same allegations.
According to federal court documents unsealed this week, Kelsey Leigh Ann Wilson, 29, was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds; and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.
She is the 14th Missouri resident to face charges for allegedly taking part in the deadly Jan. 6 riot.
The charging documents do not say why authorities waited for months to charge Kelsey Wilson.

Class lets talk today about the subject of disorderly and disruptive conduct, what it means, and why it is so important for you to learn so you can join me in trying to overthrow our government when you get a little bit older.

(16,919 posts)She is NOT a public school teacher - she's working at a 'Christian School' - not subject to most if not all 'regulations' related to working in a 'public school.' In a 'private' school she might not need to have a degree, certification, or any other 'requirements' expected of someone working in the 'public' sector (state requirements vary).
Private/Christian school regulations/requirements are usually NOT the same as state laws regarding public schools. THIS has been a serious issue with the NEA and other professional organizations - "they don't have to play by the same rules" is a serious charge. The RepubliQan support of 'private/Christian' schools has fed money into their systems without the normal accountability expected from 'public' schools, including demanding certain educational requirements of staff/teachers.
So, regarding your "topic" lesson at her school - it really could be: "Why did God want Donald Trump to be President no matter what 7,000,000 MORE AMERICANS did not want?"

I'm not "attacking" women. Only the January 6th trash. They're all undesirable garbage, males and females. I just expect better from women.
