He's an impressive investigative reporter:

Hosenball has won a number of awards and honors, along with a team of Newsweek correspondents, which include:

Overseas Press Club's most prestigious honour
2002 Ed Cunningham Memorial Award for Hosenball's reporting on the War on Terror
National Magazine Award for General Excellence in 2002 for its coverage of September 11 and its aftermath
2002 Edgar A. Poe Award for Excellence for a story he co-authored
7 d'Or
1991 Peabody Award for his contribution to NBC News coverage of the BCCI scandal

So's Duncan Campbell, who worked with him on telling the public about the huge government department:

1980 – Cobden Trust Award (for series of New Statesman articles on civil liberties, including an exposé on Britain's secret telephone tapping centre)
1983 – Periodical Publishers Association: Specialist Writer of the Year (for reports on nuclear weapons and the Prime spy case).
1987 – What The Papers Say: Investigative Journalist of the Year
1987 – Freedom of Information Campaign: Media Award
1989 – Magazine Publishing Awards: Best Business Feature

Maggie Haberman, Bret Stephens, and Glenn Greenwald all have Pulitzers and I don’t trust any of them.

Hosenball sounds shady.
