Afghanistan has been a hard issue for the Biden administration to deal with, even though...

...a lot of it might be ascribed to things not within their immediate control.

But you know what though?

That's how Presidential administrations work. It's never all sunshine and rainbows. There are crises to deal with, problems that vex.

To expect things to be perfect is simply not realisitic.

Thank God, however, that no matter how hairy things might get, we have a sane, rational and reasonable adult in charge.

This is like all those episodes of The West Wing that we used to fantasize during the dark days about a White House that has to solve problems in an intelligent manner, except it's real again.

If this were the Former Office Occupant, who knows what Hell he would bring down at this particular moment.

Embrace these sorts of problems. Because the alternative would be unthinkable.

give a breathless report that Biden has only a 25% approval on his handling of the evacuation. Are the people being polled the same ones that refuse vaccine and mask wearing?

I think it was a CBS poll. Given the press coverage this is to be expected.
Sometimes you just have to weather the blows and wait for your next opportunity.
House vote in Infrastructure is going to be this week probably.

Could you imagine what TFG would be doing in his shoes. Of course the RW media would be praising him if he were in office and things would be way more fucked up.
