Unvaccinated father of 3 dies of COVID: 'Nobody should go through this,' widow says

Healthy and in their 30s, Christina and Josh Tidmore figured they were low-risk for COVID-19. With conflicting viewpoints about whether to get vaccinated against the virus filling their social media feeds and social circles, they decided to wait.

Christina Tidmore said the couple was unsure about the coronavirus vaccine due to conflicting viewpoints on their social media feeds and in conversations. She said that they didn’t “know hardly anybody that had gotten real sick and figured we would be OK.” Josh (had read) an article critical of Dr. Anthony Fauci. Christina said “this is why I didn’t believe 99.9% of what’s said about this virus.”

On July 20, Josh came home from work with a slight cough initially thought to be sinus trouble. On Aug. 11, he died of COVID-19 at a north Alabama hospital ...

The family is relying on their faith to get through and Christina Tidmore ...
“If you can try to save your life, then you probably should,” she said of vaccinations.

as they give to ALL THE OTHER ACTUAL DOCTOR AND SCIENTIST ADVICE FROM AROUND THE WORLD? "I mean, I was confused because all the doctors say to get the vaccine, but my friend Krystal who works at the Arby's in town says I should just eat Vitamin C pills and horse dewormer paste instead...I'm SO CONFUSED!!!"

is that it's too bad he had 3 children.

This level of stupidity needs to be removed from the gene pool.

Not a candidate for a Darwin Award.

"The family is relying on their faith to get through."

Virus doesn't give a damn about your faith.

The reason the Repukes and the Fox News is doing the anti-vax anti-mask thing is precisely the lead story on MSNBC right now... Biden's approval numbers are down. People are BLAMING him, and by extension, all democrats, for the un vaccinated causing us more deaths and hospitalizations from a now preventable disease.

Ya think, Christina? We know it wasn't the expense of the vaccine, or its unavailability. You rolled the dice and risked your life, and now your kids get to grow up without their father.

6. So now you have no husband, your children have no father, & you have a big hospital bill.

“It’s just a fight out there. This side and that side, and political garbage. ... You don’t know who to believe,” she said.

Her husband read one article critical of Dr. Fauci & they based their decision on that? It's too bad our side wasn't paying attention back in the 80s while the GOP was filling positions on Boards of Education across the country.

10. This is the 2nd Young Widow Story I've Seen Today and It's Not Even Lunch Time

Neither story calls out these parents' irresponsibility for NOT getting vaccinated. If they refused to get the shot they should at lest buy life insurance. The widow from rural MO had to leave family home and move to apartment because she can't afford the house without her husband's income. I sound mean but most of these deaths could have been prevented if not for partisanship and stupidity.

They rolled the dice and came up snake-eyes. I like the "Probably" in her last quote. She still isn't sure it is the right thing to do...

I am glad she has her "faith" to fall back on; perhaps God will have sympathy for her, I don't. They willfully put their lives and the lives of their children and neighbors in jeopardy. She should wonder if her God was sending her a message, something like, "Wake up dumbass!"

They CHOSE to go through this.
They were stupid; they paid a huge price.
Their decision on this was rooted in me, me, me.
Now, there's one less "me" in their family.
Idiotic.

no questions asked, but covid vaccines that could save their lives, they listen to social media disinformation instead of Dr. Fauci and the rest of the medical experts.

He gets a posthumous Darwin Award. She gets on too. There was still no affirmation that she's gotten the vaccine now.
