Perhaps you don't understand the civil war going on inside the GOP. Allow me to explain...

But ya gotta be open to metaphors. Also, read the tee shirt

(Also... a modest "crack-caliber front yard fisticuffs" warning for those who don't like to see violence. Zero casualties involved.)

Not my circus, not my monkey, but still pretty damn explanatory.

There was an incident a few years ago when I threatened a guy with bear spray if he didn't get off my property, but he wasn't a neighbor. He was quite a character.

Why in the world would someone not get off your property when told to do so? I love that the guy sprayed them with the hose like they were animals.

But he was definitely egging them on. He should've just said "Off my lawn, Jitters" from the gitgo. Certainly didn't deserve to be clocked in the head with his own garden brick. Damn. My sympathy for junkies ends right at my property line.

I feel mostly sorry for the hose guy's wife. She was trying to calm everyone down and deescalate. But once people are thinking down in their reptilian stems, it's all about territory--fight or flight. I guess everyone's lucky guns weren't involved.

The woman at the end with the light pink shirt and ponytail said, "We called the law." She seemed somewhat sane, but it was hard to figure out whose side she was on.
