(30,613 posts)Even 25 years ago, they were amazing. One could punch a hole through a 1/4" steel plate in microseconds.
Just the leakage from being in the general vicinity caused pulses in my head and a headache. Hate to think what it would be like to be in the direct beam.

(25,963 posts)I hope the CIA's handling of this has changed since tfg is gone. Minimizing or ignoring the injuries done to agents on the job is inexcusable.
