Rudy Giuliani told the judge overseeing a $1.3 billion defamation suit filed against him by Dominion Voting Systems Inc. that he intends to largely stand by his claims that the voting technology company rigged the 2020 election to hurt Donald Trump.

Dominion’s lawsuit is barred “because some and/or all of Giuliani’s statements complained of are substantially true,” Joseph Sibley, an attorney for the former New York City mayor, said in a court filing Wednesday, spelling out his planned defenses after failing to get the suit dismissed.

The filing states that Giuliani will argue that Dominion’s claims are barred by the First Amendment, attorney immunity and so-called litigation privilege, since he was representing Trump when he made the disputed statements. He also plans to argue that Dominion’s election work makes it a “governmental actor,” depriving the company of the right to sue, according to the filing.

The case is U.S. Dominion Inc. v. Giuliani, 1:21-cv-00213, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia (Washington).

Everyone of them, they think they can delay and stall until trump is back in office and then saves them.

I think you're seeing some of the same tactics from the lawyers of the 1/6 Anti American terrorists. They think Trump is going to come in and save them.

For that to be a successful defense, he’s gonna have to come up with actual evidence and proof. And. We all know there isn’t any evidence or proof. He’s cut his own throat.

He isn't going to bamboozle the judge with his usual nonsensical stream of consciousness. He either coughs up the goods or lose the verdict.

We all know that he will lose and refuse to acknowledge the loss. He doesn't know when to shut up.

..he would go into withdrawal at this point? Must be getting blackout every night.

The man should try marijuana sometime. No hangovers and you can go about your day without anyone knowing the wiser; if you’ve developed a tolerance anyway.

I hope to God he's got a designated driver. At least, in this era of his public shaving, he didn't do his arm pits at the podium. (A pubic hair trim could be next.) What a long fall from the high regard he once had in the wake of September 11th.

Rudy: "I know Prince Andrew is very questionable now. I never went out with him. Ever!" Giuliani continued. "Never had a drink with him, never was with a woman or young girl with him. Ever, ever, ever."
