I happened to catch a little bit of the Fox primetime "talent" the other night. What a cesspool. They're bashing Biden left and right and they're still on their bit about him being senile. It is absolutely sickening.

The worst thing is the people who sit there watching that while the drool rolls down their chin think they're watching news instead of a bunch of talking heads who pander to the lowest instincts of humans. I mean, they openly insult the president and say the most extreme things about him. Even "liberal" MSNBC never did that to Trump.

to visit my kid at college almost 5 years ago. Saw some nice retro restaurant along the way and decided to stop for lunch. Of course they had the TV set to Fox and blaring at almost maximum decibel. Completely stomach turning even though the food was pretty good. Finished as soon as we could, left and never went back.

that will turn any TV off. It's on my keyring, or rather is my keyring, just for such circumstances.
I've driven more than a few restaurant and bar owners crazy by turning their Fox-tuned TVs off repeatedly. 😁

My daughter liked it so much I bought one for her as well. She's always taking one of my grandchildren or another to the Doctor, Dentist etc. and sees more waiting rooms in a week than I do in a year. She loves it, just for the sake of her blood pressure.

You have to point it directly at the TV you want to turn off, and it takes some practice to do it as unobtrusively as possible.

After a few times, you too can be a pro at fucking with right-wing nitwits.

Working in San Diego, there are a lot of conservative (R)'s.
At the company I was working at, we have a cafeteria, where everyone went to eat lunch.
It had maybe half a dozen big screen TV's blaring.
The person in charge of those TV's was a retired Navy Officer.
Well he loved FOX, so that was the station he had blaring through out the lunch hour.
The STB used for displaying, was in the Cafeteria as well, in a cabinet, behind a locked
glass door, where the remote was located.

So I buy myself a universal remove and program it for the STB being used.
Then my friends and I would go down to the cafeteria and sit at the table right in front
of the cabinet, about 15 feet from the cabinet.

I'd discretely take out the universal remote and change the channel, with the remote under the table,
to a local channel, CNN or ESPN.

One day we're watching CNN when the Retired Navy Officer came into the lunch room and he noticed
that CNN was on and not FOX. So he walks to the cabinet, pulls the key to the cabinet out and changes
the channel back to FOX. Puts the remote back in the cabinet and locks it and starts to walk out.
When he gets near the door, we change it back to CNN. He stops and looks at the cabinet, very confused
at this point because there's nobody near the cabinet.
So he walks back and changes the change, again to FOX. As he walks out we change the channel back to CNN.

At this point, he's so frustrated, he just walks out, as our table is hysterically laughing.

From that point on, if my friends were going to the lunch room without me, they'd swing by my desk
and ask for the universal remote.

I want one! Just in case!

I could have used it at a little airport restaurant in Camarillo CA a few years back.

While we were still going out to restaurants, I made it a habit to ask the server or other restaurant worker to change the channel if the TV was tuned to Pox Noise. Always got polite compliance- except at this one restaurant. When I made my always-polite request, the young woman at the reception desk apologized and said the owner mandated that the TV always be tuned to Pox Noise.

There is a cheap device available on the web called TV B Gone. It is a small remote that will shut off any and all TVs. I used it in airports and hotel breakfast areas to kill Foux Noise when I was doing a lot of business travel.

was on. I looked at the nurse and said, "Well, if anything would bring her out of the com, having this dreck on would be it. Please find something else, and do not put this on again." Sh died a week later. The tv stayed on gardening the whole time.
