I got a call today from the Cal Fire and Emergency Response asking for a donation.
I said that I always held firefighters in the highest regard, especially here in California with the wildfires we get. But...
Then I told him that I had seen the recent video of the firefighter saying he and hundreds like him won't take the vaccine and calling it tyranny. I said you guys are supposed to be saving lives. I said that that fireman is from the 108 station and I live very close to that. I said he could be my neighbor for all I know. Yadda, yadda, yadda....
He said okay would you like to donate the minimum of $15.00 and I said I would not at this time.
Man did he said goodbye quickly. I hope the message gets relayed to their marketing department.

(584 posts)They are professional phone callers.
On any given day they could be getting donations, selling auto insurance, time-shares, or burial sites.
I dislike getting calls from people I don't know trying to get money. But it is not the firefighter making the call.
