(15,767 posts)I wish there was a way to stop them once off the coast of Africa. It would cost a fortune, but weve spent trillions over the decades anyway. I wonder if anybody is working on this.

Its barometric pressure went up one point from 937 mb to 938 mb, but storm is stalled at 10 mph and just sitting there making meyhem

But, if I can read maps without a whole lot of reference points, it appears that Ida's center is over NOLA right now...
