anti-vaxxers are so close to figuring it out

New Qonspiracy theory in 3...2...1... I reckon it must be the deep state infecting them with a secret poison because they are standing up to the man... or something. *rolls eyes*
It can't possibly be that the vaccine works to stop death and not having the vaccine increases your chances of dying enormously. Can't possibly be that simple. Oh no! That would make far too much sense. *rolls eyes again*

when referring to the radical Republicans? So bogus.

More accurately the G.O.P. should always be identified in the present tense as having become "right-wing extremists" who are systematically (and diabolically) attacking American democracy, science, and facts.

They encouraged these people to identify as "conservatives". They endorsed it and claimed these people as part of their "majority" to legitimize their policies which -- when not "right-wing extreme" up front, were at least right-wing extreme-adjacent.

All the people who like to now call themselves "real conservatives" were fine with it and helped make it happen.

They don't get to disown them.

The "right-wing extremists" are conservatives because conservatives made it that way. I'm fine whith them being called that, as long as it's not used to soften the point.

12. What the Hell do they conserve?

That's my beef. They don't actually conserve a damn thing other than moneybuck tax breaks for the rich. They trash the environment, they are f*cking mightily with US democracy, they piss on the reality of climate change, they dump on all the actually conservative science (because reality based) about surviving the pandemic, etc. etc. etc. ad nauseum.

So since the G.O.P. does not conserve a thing worth perpetuating for the next Seven Generations, they do not deserve the word "conservative." They are right-wing extremists.

"Conservatives", especially Movement Conservatives of the Buckley stripe, have always been radical rightists, just slicker in their presentation. Their goal was to restore the Gilded Age, when wealthy people could just step only anyone who got in their way and government was there to serve "the right people."

Their preferred form of government has always been that of a banana republic: a small ruling upper crust, a slightly larger stratum who provides high level services to the crust, and a sea of disposable peons.

They've also always promoted radicalization to eliminate their opposition. If you don't believe that, then name today's leader of the Rockefeller Republicans.

I know because I live among them. I believe that they are more than just brainwashed. I believe that they all have been infected with mental illness. It's like when my dear mother had brain cancer and they cut away a big part of her brain, she was no longer the mother I knew. She became mean and incapable of reason or critical thinking. This is the category that I put Magats in and I refuse to engage them in meaningful discussion. A Magat asked me on the golf course if I was vaccinated. I answered, of course. He jumped me, WHY? More people die from being vaccinated than from the Covid, according to some doctor he cited. I simply replied that I don't talk politics on the golf course. Magats are even going to the coroner to make sure that they don't put Covid down as cause of death for one of their loved ones.
