...my wife is working on it. But as with criminal prosecutions, the development of legislation and policy isn't an instantaneous thing.

(21,264 posts)Watched Bernie Sanders on Chris Hayes and he spelled it out why passing a very popular bill is hard to pass. Bernie said that Big Pharma has 2 lobbyists per Congress people. 2 per person and that's just Big Pharma.

(23,166 posts)She made darn good money as a department head, and was married to a top executive of a good-sized corporation. Together, I'd guess they earned 400K a year. One day, the subject of taxing rich people more was brought up, and she said that taxing them was "punishing success."
"Well, gee, Nancy, what do you want us to tax--FAILURE??" Good luck with that. Took the wind out of her sails.
