Are you suggesting that he's stupid or naive? Do you think Obama would have nominated him for the Supreme Court or that Biden would have selected him for AG if that were the case? Do you mistrust their judgment, too? This isn't Garland's first rodeo - He worked for the DoJ's criminal division before he became a judge, and acted as a supervising prosecutor in the Oklahoma City bombing, the Unabomber case, and the Atlanta Olympics bombings. I think he knows what he's doing.

He has impressive credentials in that area. What he doesn't have is a law degree or a portfolio of legal commentary.
Accordingly, I don't give his opinion any special weight; and anyway, you know what they say about opinions.

15. I get that it's frustrating for the folks in the peanut gallery

to have to wait for something to happen and expecting it to happen immediately, which it won't, and being angry because it hasn't. The reasons these things don't happen in the time frame of a Law & Order episode have been explained repeatedly, and there are other reasons why we might never see TFG do the perp walk - something I, too, would dearly love to see. But casting aspersions on the people who are trying to clean up TFG's messes, a task akin to Hercules' cleaning of the Augean stables*, makes no sense.

*Hercules accomplished this task by causing two rivers to run through the stables. I don't think Garland has that kind of power.
