For some reason, all these people who believe individuals should "pull themselves up by their bootstraps" are in vehement, ignorant disagreement when the COUNTRY as a whole tries to do that very thing -- pull itself up by its bootstraps -- by electing Democrats to fix those roads, the schools, the faltering economy, the inequitable healthcare, the dirty air, the warming planet -- all those things and more that Republicans refuse to lift any finger on eccept their middle finger.
