This week has delivered a barge of news about garbage behavior among Donald Trump’s circle of associates, and it practically begs for a Friday afternoon recap on the internet. Kristi Noem, perpetually disgraced Trump 2016 campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, affairs, groping, resignations, and, most disturbingly, real estate appraisals; you’ve got questions. What’s the deal?

This week, Noem—who has been discussed as a potential running mate for Trump in 2024, or as a potential candidate if he doesn’t run—denied a report published on the website American Greatness that claimed she has been having an extramarital affair with Lewandowski. She also denied an AP report that she’d intervened inappropriately when her daughter’s application for a real estate appraisal license was rejected. Lewandowski was, additionally, the subject of a Politico report that quotes at length from a statement provided by an attorney for Trump donor named Trashelle Odom; according to the statement, Lewandowski repeatedly touched and verbally harassed Odom over an extended period of time during a Sunday, Sept. 26, charity event in Las Vegas. Politico says Odom’s account is backed up by other eyewitness accounts and that Lewandowski “appeared to be intoxicated” during the events described.

Corey Lewandowski, a top aide to former President Donald Trump, has been removed as chairman of the MAGA Action political action committee following accusations by a donor that he sexually harassed her last weekend.

"He repeatedly touched me inappropriately, said vile and disgusting things to me, stalked me," she said, "and made me feel violated and fearful."

The statement alleged that Lewandowski told her about the size of his genitalia, described his sexual performance and showed her his hotel room key. It said that Lewandowski had tried to hold her hand and had touched her leg.

Politico said her allegations were backed up by four people who were first-hand witnesses.

Odom said she came forward "because he needs to be held accountable" and that she wanted other women "to know that you can be heard, too, and together we can stop terrible things like this from happening."

He counseled her often on state and national politics, and advised her to seek controversy and confrontation to raise her national profile.

If Noem has taste/judgment THAT poor, she would have slunk off to "spend more time with her family" the second the story broke--UNLESS:....she really liked Lewandowski that much. If it turns out she did, I think she loses her future over her poor taste alone.

I haven't read of any specifics so far, like they were seen at a cozy after hours place, or were spotted in a hot tub, or shared more than a nightcap during some political event.
I don't mean that it can't have happened or is specifically unlikely. I mean usually there are more than rumors spoken of.

To put it mildly Noem has some baggage and Corey does too. It would seem that she was on the way to higher office or at least aiming to be. It would make sense for her to spend a lot of face time with someone who is without a doubt a player in the GOP political hierarchy not to mention acting as her consultant. Corey is a known braggart as well. There likely are GOP political knives out for either or both of them.

All I'm saying is association may be damning but it's not evidence, unlike a hotel bill or a witness statement.
