And this was written before his attempted coup and his ban from Twitter and Facebook too.

I imagine it as a chilling final turn of the plot. His world is coming to an end. He will never have another good day. Loser label will haunt him. The law will pursue him. Mental illness will hobble him. His properties will bankrupt him.

And right now he is trying to sue Twitter to let him back on.

(16,357 posts)Look at how hard he is STILL fighting the election results, almost a year later! He still acts like there's a way to overturn the election even now. I think on some level he knows he really did lose, but he'd rather die than admit even the possibility.
It's really disturbing, though, how many Republicans are willing to indulge his fantasies with seemingly endless recounts, though. As much as I want to see him punished by the legal system for his crimes, it would be a relief in a way if he would just ... kick the bucket. But no, I don't want that, not really. I want him to live long enough for his crimes AND those of his offspring to be exposed. We don't need ANY Trumps in American politics, ever again.
No, I'm not holding my breath for that to happen, but I'm not giving up hope just yet, doggone it!

(9,988 posts)His narcissistic mind can't tolerate a legitimate election loss, because in his heart, he believes he's rightful royalty, and his right to rule should never have been up for a vote in the first place. But even if it was, obviously he thinks he should rule, and he's right about everything, so any votes not for him are illegitimate by definition.
I don't want him to die soon. I've said this before: I think if he dies there will be violence on a big scale. Because his cult is so convinced that he's a superhealthy alpha male, so if he dies (because he's in his 70s and he doesn't exercise and he's lived on fast foods for decades and he has damage from massive cocaine abuse in the 80s and 90s) they'll think it must be a stealth assassination.

(1,910 posts)Last week a poll had Trump at 48% and Biden at 46%. So I would not act like he is done by any means. With voter suppression he could win AZ and GA. That leaves PA, MI, WI as the only thing between us and Trump 2.0. And Biden only won those states by a small number of votes.

(34,059 posts)that many were hoping he would be the candidate, and some even crosssed the lines to vote for him in the Republican primaries.
As I said, another premature grave dance on his political career. (Not to mention that a 25%-35% base is more than many of the strongest Democratic candidates have, whether he runs or not.)
