Sinema's approval rating crashes -- and she's hurting herself with independents as well as Democrats

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) is learning that there are major differences between her voters and conservative voters in West Virginia.

While Sinema may be aligning herself with Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), voters in her home state are not rewarding her independent streak the same way West Virginia voters have traditionally rewarded Manchin.

A new Morning Consult poll reveals that bucking her party isn't doing Sinema any favors back home. The numbers show that "46 percent of Arizona Democrats approved of Sinema's job performance in the third quarter of 2021, down 21 points from the first quarter," while "42 percent of all Arizona voters approve of her, compared with 48 percent who said the same earlier this year."

ALG Research numbers found the same for voters across key battleground Congressional districts in Arizona.

Despite the article's headline, which I've copied into the headline of this post, the article doesn't explicitly address independent voters.

However, a graph in the Morning Consult article showed that her Q3 over Q1 approval rating by independents was down 5 points and her disapproval rating was up 9 points.

Here's a couple of grafs from the Morning Consult article:

The decline was largely driven by Democratic voters, who, at 46 percent, are now 21 percentage points less likely to approve of the Arizona senator’s job performance than they were at the beginning of the year. And Sinema, who was recently followed into a bathroom by immigration activists and faces calls for a Democratic challenger if she runs for re-election in three years, can’t count on robust support from the faction still backing her: 14 percent of Arizona Democrats say they “strongly” approve of Sinema, compared to 28 percent who said the same in the Jan. 1-March 31 surveys.

Sinema’s McCain-style maverick posture has not helped her standing with independent voters in her state, but it has improved her reputation with Arizona Republicans, who are now split almost evenly on her job performance.

I think she's just checking the "Senator" box off her list of qualifications for a lobbyist job on K Street.

I don't know who'd hire her though. A lobbyist usually tries to make friends and connections in Congress to use as bargaining contacts for the lobbyists. Sinema has done nothing but piss Democrats off, and republicans will never trust her.

Of course she's such a "maverick" she may start her own "Maverick Charm School" for future Congressional "Mavericks".

She’s deliberately ensuring that Bidens presidency will be a total failure for personal profit.
That’s what I think.

So she may not get re-elected again. And she won't be in good standing as a lobbyist if no one likes or trusts her?

In two more years, when she will have to gear up for reelection, that'll be a different story, but now she's just enjoying being the popular girl that everyone is asking to the prom.

And hey, if the Senate flips in 2022, the way she sees it, she'll be positioned to change her party affiliation and continue the Look The Fuck At Me All The Time World Tour.

They will vote for any GOP candidate running against her. And boy howdy, that candidate is almost certainly going to be a real trumptilian to the extreme.
