"He then revealed who was going to be in attendance: Trump and Mitt Romney. Though he didn't say it in so many words, Jason made it obvious that Trump had cooked up the dinner, so to speak, just to torture the guy a little more. The setting was Trump's turfa restaurant in his building."
She called it a power-play by Trump to show Romney who was in charge.

(2,114 posts)As every decent person agrees. But the Repubes are still on their knees adoring him for his a-holishness, and for being an a-hole role model for their squirmy little Republican rug rats.

(9,951 posts)... I thought Mitt Romney would be Liz Chaney. Mitt is much more "liberal" in real life. But, Mitt's not as brave as Liz... and he's still thinking he has to cozy up to the Republican Primary voters. he's wrong - they know he's another John McCain. Mitt should have staying on course, after impeachment, and gone straight for Mitch McConnell's job.

(15,536 posts)Not as bad as that a**hole (no one is) but would we really want someone so clueless who can be this easily played as our leader in the world?
Geez, what is with the Republican party these days? Filled with hateful and not very bright people.

(43,128 posts)Mitt's eyebrows are up, a sign of worry or fear, his facial muscles tight and tense, the hand a false sign of composure but also submission.
If anyone else looked like that, you'd say poor guy .... looks like the doc just told him his stools have turned to stone and must be surgically removed before the end of the day.

(31,163 posts)It's cliche, but some executives supposedly position their desks and chairs in front of bright sunlight so visitors are required to squint, and/or, have seating so low to the ground that visitors have to look up at them.
Menacing lighting could be a ploy of TFG. Heck, I'd expect it.
