Bear discovers lost GoPro, turns it on, starts recording himself
A black bear discovered a lost GoPro in the Wyoming wilderness, switched it on and began filming itself, an astonishing video has shown.
Dylan Schilt, from Laramie, was hunting with a bow and arrow in the mountains earlier this month when he found the action camera, which had fallen off a snowmobile and into thick sand months earlier.
After charging the camera, the hunter discovered the footage.
The bear is seen providing a close-up of his gnashers after turning the camera on using his mouth.
After sharing its glaring gums, the animal attempts to tear the camera apart with its sharp claws.

(9,117 posts)Bear eats you, and sometimes the bear starts filming.
Great video, but I think that the bear needs to improve his camera-work.

(4,432 posts)A human left a plastic and metal device where a wild animal could find it. It could have choked the bear to death. It could have poisoned the bear that swallowed it with its heavy metals and battery content.
Mankind trashes every other creature it encounters. The owner of the lost camera should be held accountable for leaving such dangerous human trash in the wild, potentially harming the wildlife.
I think every item on a person going into a wilderness area should be registered, and accounted for with an inventory going in, and coming out. ANY list item should be a severe financial penalty. Period.
Poor bear.

As someone else said, that device could have harmed that animal considering a potentially explosive and poisonous battery pack.
