Former President Trumps diet and age could prove to be pivotal factors determining whether he runs in 2024, Rev. Franklin Graham told Axios on HBO.
The president of Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and an early supporter to the former president, told the outlet hes unsure if Trumps health will permit another campaign.
"I think for him, everything will depend on his health at that time. If he still has energy and strength like he does. I don't," Graham said.
"You know the guy does not eat well, you know, and it's amazing the energy that he has," Graham added.

noun
a person with whom one shares a secret or private matter, trusting them not to repeat it to others.
"a close confidante of the princess"
"Confidante" is merely the feminine of "confidant", being derived from French - e.g. Mr. Graham is a confidant of T, but Omarosa is/was a confidante of T.

(5,969 posts)but I've noticed it has also become a popular scapegoat. It's amusing when people blame auto correct when that was clearly not the issue instead of just admitting that they made a mistake.

(70,200 posts)has hinted he would run and his fans are certainly egging him on. Health would be probably
the only good reason NOT to run for is fans IMHO. But, on the other hands why would Graham focus
so much on his poor eating habits.

(57,079 posts)... Graham's comment about 45's diet were a bit bonkers.
With all the lawsuits and probes he may be looking for a way out

They were everywhere at college in the 70s. You could take a Black Beauty and study all night and into the next day.
Methamphetamines are how the Nazis amazed everyone with their Blitzkrieg early in WW2. They could march for 3 days on no rest, cause they were amped up just like Hitler and all the top brass.

(65,008 posts)Works great for 6 weeks of blitzkrieg, but after that it's taken to avoid withdrawal. And, soldiers on the eastern front were hallucinating because they didn't sleep for days.
Actually, a Reich doctor got the government to ban them for the military but vermacht & Waffen SS officers got sympathetic civilian doctors to prescribe them anyway. It got to the point that Merck contracted a second company to make 900,000 doses a day, to supplement their 1.3 million doses a day.
Soldiers were writing their families asking for cookies, socks & Pervatin.
By the height of the siege of Leningrad, German soldiers were shooting at imaginary attacks. When they ran out of bullets, the red army would attack & capture a few thousand at a time.
Worked for a while, but turned out to be a disaster.
Good thinking Adolf.

(13,869 posts)He said amphetamines were standard issue when they went into the field.
He said health concerns about the pills didnt come into consideration when you were being dropped miles behind enemy lines.

(Now I'm not saying that I believe everything this Casler guy has said. He's made some wild claims. Nor do I disbelieve him either. I have no idea if he's a legit source. But there it is.)

(7,431 posts)Of course he has "energy." What a stupid assertion.
Diet Cokes are saturated with caffeine and he drinks that stuff all day long. And no one wants to talk about his Adderall addiction, which acts as a stimulant.
Trump is sending his acolytes off to prison to protect HIM. ETTD, remember. Bannon and the band of Trumpers who are getting subpoenas, and who follow Trump's direction to defy them, are in for a rude awakening. The Jan 6 Committee knows that push has indeed come to shove, and they aren't going to soft-pedal this kind of defiance.
What Thompson should do is jail them for inherent contempt AND send criminal referrals to the DOJ. No mercy, Bennie.

(19,059 posts)But he looks much older too.
If he's holding rallies still and speaking for 1 hour plus at them, he's well enough to run. Keep an eye on that. I would not count on health saving us from another Trump run.
Biden looks and moves like he's old, but physically he's in very good shape for someone his age.

(32,634 posts)The main reason Chump hasn't started a campaign for 2024 is that he doesn't want to concede. What an asshole! But he really needs those sweet, sweet campaign donations from the ChumpHumpers. What's a lifetime grifter supposed to do?
