1. Watching this on local news now.

Fight in a classroom and a student started shooting. 2 students with gunshot wounds, one student other injury, teacher with other injury.

2. Is anybody else surprised that they have identified a suspect by name,

And put a picture of him out, and identified the car they think he is driving by make, year, model, and license plate? I thought they tried to keep those things like underage students names etc away from the press. My thought is that this is a black male, so they will identify the hell out of him, regardless of the consequences.

4. I'm still surprised that they are putting all that info out

so quickly. If something isn't right, somebody innocent could get hurt. Almost seems like they didn't have time to verify all the details. Of course, the kid is black.

A lot easier to verify information in that setting I would expect.

Plenty of uninjured witnesses probably helps as well.

Part of that could be because they’re trying to find him, but I agree it might have been handled differently if it had been a white kid.

That student has been identified as 18-year-old Timothy George Simpkins who is now at large and considered armed and dangerous.

It's believed that Simpkins is driving a 2018 silver Dodge Charger with license plate PFY-6260.

Police say if you encounter this person, or know anything about his whereabouts, to immediately call 911.

It's nice to have those details when a murderer is running around the area.
