17. Reminds me of a picture My old high school printed in its annual fund raiser

It showed a student delegation to one of the annual so-called pro-life demonstrations in D.C. About a dozen boys from the all-male school stood behind a large banner decrying abortion as criminal. I am haunted by the perfect smiles on their affluent faces.

All boys. Not a womb among them. All doing God’s work by seeking to protect the government’s power to make women suffer and, if it be the case, die.

I never liked my Catholic (how’d you guess) high school. Smugly oppressive, witlessly religious, preaching morality while turning away from the sodomy and pederasty practiced regularly by so many of its priests and teaching clergy.

That’s my rant for the dat.

about abortion, I tell him he doesn't get to have one. Period. He's pro-choice, but started spouting some right wing bullshit about 8 month abortions. I told him 1) it's not a thing, and 2) you don't get to have an option about anyone's pregnancy. He didn't argue.

I told him that he could have the child if he was willing to be pregnant and go through labor and childbirth.

So many people (men in particular) view pregnancy as just gaining a few pounds, or having to put up with a bad haircut or something, not the potentially life-threatening, body-wrecking, hormone-laden ordeal that it is. Sure, it's exciting when you want to be pregnant, but even then, those things are true. No one should have to be put through it against her will.

When men can get pregnant and carry a child through birth, let 'em have at it. I'm going to skip it in my next life.
