Senate Probe Zeroes In on Pennsylvania Republican
October 7, 2021 at 9:47 am EDT By Taegan Goddard 27 Comments
A Senate Democratic report released Thursday places Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) at the center of efforts to help former President Donald Trump overturn the 2020 election results, Politico reports.
The report indicates that the House Freedom Caucus, a group of hardline conservatives with close ties to Trump, took an active role in helping the president strategize about ways to undercut Joe Bidens victory. But the report indicates that Perry, more than other House Republicans, took a direct role in attempting to help Trump install loyalists in the Justice Department who would assist in undermining the legitimacy of Joe Bidens victory.

(4,214 posts)as he sat with Marjorie Taylor Green as they waited for the ok to go back to the floor says he wasnt threatened by the insurrection. He had nothing to fear from that crowd because I think he was in on it.

(15,273 posts)Having been the state rep from that area and also elected statewide twice, thought DePasquale had a really good shot at winning this seat. But Perry won comfortably. Otoh, maybe DePasquale lost because of the influx of Trump voters and never-Trumper Rs who voted for Biden but Rs down ballot.
It will be interesting to see what the redistricting commission does. Maybe the two Rs on the panel will be embarrassed enough by Perry's antics in cahoots with Jeffrey Clark they'll want to be rid of him.

(30,613 posts)Yes, he and his henchmen organized the mob behind the scenes, but what he did in public would get him executed or exiled in most countries.

(15,325 posts)Knowing & seeing it is obvious.
Proving the case against an entire global criminal organization has to be precise, timeline to trail, $$$$ laundered, people connected & thousands of pages of data foreign & domestic, & every criminal element along the way, leaving not one legal misstep for their mob lawyers to use in their favor.
Of course we know what he did.
It's the staggerung findings of when, how & who that will stun us at the end of the day.
And we deserve to know it all someday.
