As I wrote in another thread, it's simply far too risky.

It would consume the rest of the Biden presidency
It would be impossible to seat an impartial jury
If and when he beat the charges, which would be likely, it would be disastrous to the following election.


Unless you can come up with a smoking gun that would convince ~80% of the country that he was beyond a shadow of a doubt guilty, nothing of significance will happen.

Criminal Justice too slow for you? Perhaps Trump should be indicted today, and the prosecutors can just assume everyone on the Jury knows he's guilty?

Just seems like so much is already out there for him to be charged for something by either New York, Georgia, or DOJ.
Maybe it will happen. I think it has to for many us to have faith in our justice system.
