Anyone been paying attention to law -politics in the US for the past 4 or 5 decades, or even longer?

I don’t pay too close of attention but it seems ro me our courts are bogged down with so much stupidity that they aren’t addressing the important stuff. I can’t think of past issues for comarison, but way too much gime being taken by political and religious agendas.
