It's another false equivalent. You can't "catch" pregnancy by breathing the air of someone who is pregnant. And if you're male, you can't get pregnant at all. It's just a sign to let you know the person carrying the poster is mentally incapacitated.

(14,637 posts)And I find it offensive that they are hijacking a slogan for rights they are denying to women. Just like the "I can't breathe" signs, they're inappropriately using slogans for real issues to voice their moronic views of masks.

(14,118 posts)remembrance as the hearses carrying their bodies drive past on their way to various
cemeteries. OK, that's enough brief remembrance. What's next? Oh right, repeat the
same steps for the anti-vaxxers. Then decide what to have for lunch.

(38,533 posts)They don't care that if they don't vax or wear masks that they could spread a dangerous virus to others.
They don't realize that by not being part of the solution, they are part of the problem.
They spout Covid mortality as being low, but ignore the fact that those who catch it could face life-long health issues (and therefore enormous medical costs).
They ignore that the economy will remain sluggish until we get Covid under control.
Mostly--they want the President to fail at everything.

(1,375 posts)To them an abortion is choosing death of a living being, for the convenience of the mother.
Im not saying its equivalent, but when you have an honest belief that abortion is murder, you saying My body, my choice is as offensive to them, as it is, apparently, to you.
Just let them have their fun, and dont let them see you bothered by their high jacking of the phrase.

They think that in hijacking a pro-choice slogan, they're somehow mocking those on the left. But, like you point out, it's stupid and illogical, just like everything else about The Idiocracy.
The proper reply to these clowns should be, "My building, my choice." or, "My business, my choice. Take your disease-riddled ass elsewhere."

(32,075 posts)If you do, you're just giving them what they want. Best to just roll your eyes, shake your head, point a finger, and laugh at them. And, maybe ask them if they need some Brawndo. It has electrolytes.

(6,017 posts)They've reached the point where, if anything, being irrational is a flex of power from their point of view.
Everyone else in society is expected to follow the rules and be constrained by things like...rationality.
Republicans on the other hand - especially conservative Christian ones - believe that the more ridiculous a thing is that they can make themselves believe, the "better" they are. And when there is a lack of repercussions, no real downside to them acting this way...they are proven correct.

(32,075 posts)They believe they are the center of the universe, so they believe their "right" to spread their diseases, and force their warped, sick beliefs on others, overrides the rights of everyone else not to be subjected to any of it. It's very selfish and grossly immature, but that's a main characteristic of their particular cult.

(43,062 posts)Because I think it's a political statement disguised as personal choice. You can't get to their position with sanity for public health, or logic. You have to blend in other considerations. The uneducated masses yearn to breathe free, express their anger against perceived enemies, and worship false gods who seem to know what's going on. The whole thing is a CULT!!!

(1,375 posts)And apparently its working.
They think we are the hypocritical by saying no one has the right to tell me what to do with my body. For many of them, they truly think abortions kill babies, so thats harming another human being, just as they maybe by harming them by infection.
The more they see it bothers you, the more they who it.

(6,679 posts)If they can keep their covid out of everyone else without a mask or vax then fine. Stay home and no contact.
If they expect to leave home it is no longer just them. It is now public. At that moment public decides.
