Help? There was a great website that explained the taxes poor people pay and rich people pay.

I cannot recall the name of the author or the website but it was about as clear as anything for explaining taxes to people. Like who pays for local roads and police and schools and sales tax; and who pays for the federal govt and things like bombs with income tax.

It also spelled out nicely the percentage of total income eaten up by taxes by the poor and the rich.

Thinking about this also reminded me of that goofy poll back in the Bush years on the inheritance tax. The 2% generally paid inheritance taxes (on inheritances of something like $500k and up?) and 19% of Americans though that it impacted them which it most certainly did not...but they were triggered.

Does anyone remember that website or the name of the author?
