holy fucking shit, vaccine mandates are causing teachers who don't believe in science to quit, nurses who don't believe in medicine to quit, and cops who don't believe in public safety to quit. I'm failing to see the downside to this

So I presume the same elsewhere. Ick!

Trying to make my unvaxxed SIL understand why the firefighter thing disturbs me, I pointed out that they fill the EMT jobs, and I said, “So if I have a heart attack, that means there’s a 50/50 chance my ambulance crew is unvaccinated.” That got through — she looked shocked.

In any case, when it comes to a whole slew of city and county jobs, there’s always a long line of applicants. Buh-bye noncompliant employees!
