(22,093 posts)Actually was livid about it, but hey, maybe it'll make him think about what's he has done over the years in order to earn such a nickname, eh? However, I don't think he can think this far ahead/analyze this in detail, unless someone explains it carefully to him.

(58,785 posts)with Russia and the Republicans that she wants to point to?
A former campaign manager for McConnell is facing multiple federal charges, including conspiracy to obtain illegal campaign contributions, covering tehm up, etc. from some Russian. Other, previous criminal charges had been pardoned by tRump. (?)
17 senators, bipartisan, from the intelligence and foreign relations committes are calling for Biden expel 300 Russian diplomats if Russia doesn't issue more visas to undo its ban on our expelled diplomats. (?)
Something else out there? A reminder of Repub-Russia in general?
Perhaps some other shoe to drop?
remembering correctly. Didnt some republicans go over to Russia a couple years ago around Thanksgiving. I believe one of them was Lindsey Graham.

(58,785 posts)and for sure extreme ethical violations by many Republicans and their agents, before, during and after that. In any case, if the past they've not yet been held to account for was it, Pelosi could have been calling him Moscow Mitch every day.
So I wonder, "Why now?" Maybe McConnell just put her in a bad, truth-speaking mood. Or?

List-Senator Richard C. Shelby of Alabama, who led the delegation, along with Senators Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, John Neely Kennedy of Louisiana, Steve Daines of Montana, North Dakotas John Hoeven, Jerry Moran of Kansas, South Dakotas John Thune, and Rep. Kay Granger
for correcting my memory. I knew it happened during a holiday.

(11,683 posts)So, what do we call these Red Square Republicans? My interlocutors on Twitter suggest Moscow Mules. Or, given the position they put themselves in before our masters in Moscow, perhaps they should be called the Prostrate Eight: Sens. Richard C. Shelby (Ala.), Steve Daines (Mont.), John Hoeven (N.D.), John Neely Kennedy (La.), Jerry Moran (Kan.), John Thune (S.D.) and Johnson, plus Rep. Kay Granger (Tex.).

(145,046 posts)Debate on the college level is boring in many respects and one of the less fun jobs was reading the congressional record. One of the debaters on the squad was very good at this and could go through a volume of the CR in a third of the time it took me.
This amuses me
