Our New Employee Just Lost Healthcare Now Makes Too Much Money

Because they got a job, and now can't afford their medication.

What an effed up country.

Just informed me today why they weren't feeling well.

My white hot hatred for Republicans burns a little hotter today.

I am sure they can spend 6 months getting jerked around and find some Healthcare at some point in the future.

And you wonder why folks don't want to go to work.

3. Obamacare is possible. We passed that with 60 votes.

Republicans couldn’t stop it but tried. Lol. Thank God we had the 60 votes to pass it. He should sign up for it. I think they lifted the period of sign up with covid.

If not, the employee can always go the Obamacare route and purchase an affordable healthcare insurance plan through it.

7. "for low income" is key here

I'm on Obamacare, and I pay $1,250 a month for insurance. I will turn 65 in 2022, so I'm looking forward to Medicare.

8. I have a friend making $30,000 as a bartender. Her ACA premium is $57/month

She makes too much for Medicaid but the subsidies for low income are extensive.

Plus Biden re-calculated the formulas in January when he got in and the premiums for virtually everyone went down

9. Really?

I don't qualify for anything on the ACA exchange because income is too high.
So, with completely independent coverage just for me, I was at $1,326.
The ACA only saved you $76? That's very surprising. I was assuming it would be far better than that.
BTW: Now, with Medicare I pay $220 from SocSec, $157 for a BCBS supplemental, and $48 for Part D. Huge savings! So, you've got that nice nugget on your horizon.

I made out a few years ago, had a quadruple bypass , and from the bills I saw for it, I was glad I had health insurance.

10. One risk pool is a health care system. Multiple risk pools is an investment scheme.

We have enough investment schemes in this country; we need a health care system.

The ACA was never meant to straighten out all the crookedness.

"Employers don't want to pay".

Only problem is we don't control an army of radio stations and TV networks or foreign propaganda outlets.
