Felt a little sleepy and groggy, upper arm aches, no big deal.
CDC says it's fine to get both at once (though do consult with your doctor if you have a history of reactions to vaccines at all). The guy who gave the jabs said he'd been doing that all day.
This was at a Walgreens in a medium-sized city in Northwestern NC, and they were BUSY. I had to wait for half an hour past my appointment time, they were so overbooked. Which I didn't really mind because I was glad to see it. And the whole time I waited in the pharmacy section I only saw one person without a mask.

(204,775 posts)I was actually at the doctor yesterday, myself - I got both a flu shot and a pneumonia shot and I felt pretty groggy last night, too, and my left arm hurt, not sure which shot went in each arm. I haven't received a booster since I got the Moderna, the first vaccine available to me (CVS handled that one), but I'm ready when it's recommended.
p.s. My grandmother moved from here in New York to Black Mountain, NC - beautiful area, I used to visit her often.

(14,637 posts)I mean, get the pneumonia and flu shot at the same time? Wow! I'm jealous! Got my Pfizer booster, but doc wants me to wait between shots. Oh well, the time will go by anyway. Good for you!

(204,775 posts)I had chills and fell asleep - and my left arm still hurt the next day - though I'm not sure which shot I got in that arm.

(16,834 posts)I wanted to go ahead and get my flu shot too, but she said I needed to wait a couple of weeks between them. So I waited until the end of September to get my flu shot. I guess it would have been too early to get my flu shot in August, anyway. I want it to last through all of the flu season.

Had Laser surgery to release pressure. Now normal. New glasses ordered.
Am ready to settle down for a long winter night.

(14,637 posts)I'm jealous of anyone who can get them at the same time. I have to wait 2 weeks for the flu shot since my doc didn't want me to get them together. Feels good to check them off, doesn't it?

(209 posts)Flu shot in left arm. COVID booster in the right. Both arms are slightly sore. I was the only one scheduled (before/after) for my time slot. I am in a AFB town in middle Georgia.
Likewise about the mask. CVS website said a mask was required, but the pharmacist didn't wear one. I always have a mask in public situations. I feel naked without one.

(2,419 posts)I got it Friday morning, worked all day with no problems. I had a sore arm that night and no energy Saturday so I decided to spend most of the day in bed. Never had a fever, but had fever dreams and I slept a lot Saturday. Got up Sunday morning feeling fine and FULL of energy. I recommend a day in bed from time to time. I'll probably get my flu shot next week or the next.
