I have a picture of William Tecumseh Sherman in the back window of my van. These Michigan wanna be rebels have no idea who he was. They have the wrong flag on their trucks.

It was at a protest against Joey Gibson and the Proud Boys and it took me awhile to realise they were on our side. I was in Harpers Ferry in 2000.

I reached out to them but did not receive the most enthusiastic reply. Understandable, trolls are everywhere.

I am prepping on my own. Tick, tock....

Cheers. Have a good weekend.

Which is beside the Great Dismal swamp, there is a house that was a stop along the Underground Railroad. I was always very proud of this fact, even as the majority of the white residents there mention it with a decided dispassion. It also has an odd aspect to it, as it faces away from the highway. This is because the original road, called 'Cornwallis Rd.' because the British regulars retreated from the disastrous Battle of Guilford Court House towards Yorktown right through what would become that town. (It was little more than a crossroads at that time, but it was there.) The fact that there were white people trying to help the slaves to escape their bondage even in the face of rebel authority was inspiring to me.
