... not even the first time someone tapped me on the shoulder over this!

Make that, "well educated, reliable, smart former bartender" as opposed to Rep Boebert, who is an uneducated, stupid, larcenous former bartender, or the former SoH, Boehner, another former bartender whose larceny wasn't as cheap and venial as Boebert's. Though he's now working to employ more bud-tenders.

Names and acronyms elude me daily and by the hour.

Course, age related onset of broken brain contributes.

Sometime in the future. Not immediate future, but she could get there if she continues to grow in political leadership skills. She's an intelligent, well-educated person with good leadership qualities, courage to stand up to opponents, and the ability to connect with constituents.

i cant believe that jettisoning that entire package is srsly being talked about.
the least they can do is extend the existing credits, maybe goose them.
i did solar on my house this year, and i switched a rental i own to electric heat so i could power it w solar. i got a lot of rebates on my system, but i was hoping for a bit more help on this one.

i'm hoping they're just trying to turn the heat up on manchin, and making it clear exactly what he is objecting to.

When people like Bill Maher say Manchin is representing his state he totally ignores the politics of the late Senator Robert Byrd. Faced with a proposed $3 Trillion spending package on programs to alleviate poverty and help close the inequality gap, all financed by taxes on the rich, Senator Byrd would have been all in and made sure West Virginia got more than its fair share of the benefits. Manchin is representing his donors, not his constituents.

where Pelosi and all the women in the Democratic caucus wore white dresses.

Since none of them are applauding, it was obviously one of the moments when MF45 said something stupid or extolled tax cuts, some republicon crap like that.

They all sat quietly, and there's Manchin, clapping like a trained seal along with of the republicons. The specific issue is irrelevant. This picture shows where he stands compared to his "fellow" Democrats.

Her expression does indeed say it for all of us.

let's hope folks understand what we need to do. Not voting in the Midterms would be a disaster. We need more votes in the House and Senate. How many folks know we actually lost House seats in 2020? We must focus on GOTV for the Midterms. Infighting will gain us nothing.

Undoubtedly some "gifts" for blocking any clean energy legislation. I was enroute a new gig in Palm Springs through the desert yesterday, lots of idiotic radio to choose from between god stations, country and RWNJ anger stations. One was slamming California's switch to clean energy-- of course with important omissions:
Making the point that charging electric vehicles can come from fossil fuel sources, I'll give them that to an extent. But the pundit totally omitted the households/businesses/buildings nearly everywhere now with solar panels. Some off-grid solar homes are running their cars almost completely from the sun!!!
Dammit it got me so angry the R's are so stuck in this shit that's killing us.
Joe M's no democrat. He's every bit as filthy, stupid and dangerous and I label him an "R".

Need to act and this. They should strip both Manchin and sinema of all committee assignments and any other authority they have and send them out to the So.40. If they switch to the insane clown car trump party that is the gop rt now so be it they already have basically. The GOP has shown a very effective way of stopping everything as the minority party so Dems. just need to follow that and President Biden still has the veto. The GOP would immediately nuke the filibuster so at least that will be out of the way.

Focus hard and heavy on the mid terms. Hire someone like Rick Wilson and the Lincoln Project to start producing blistering ads about the GOPs lack of any resemblance to a mature, thoughtful, pragmatic political party that has Americas best interests in mind especially when they have just killed 740,000 citizens. Time is quickly running out for the Dems to try and salvage something from being the majority. They can no longer wait and hope…they must act.
