Desperate Fox Is Spreading Lies About Pelosi Stepping Down
They're trying to drive a wedge into the Democratic caucus.
By Susie Madrak
Yesterday, Maria Bartiromo was either making sh*t up or spreading Republican disinformation (which is pretty much the same thing). Business as usual on Fox!
Oh my! Sources! Anyone with the initials DJT, by any chance?
Speaker Pelosi has made it quite clear she's not stepping down, but Bartiromo and her crew are desperate to find anything at all that sounds like the united Democratic caucus is falling apart over the reconciliation package. (It isn't.)

(14,914 posts)isn't claiming there is any actual scoop or that "sources close to Pelosi said off the record" or anything like that. It's total fabrication.

(4,448 posts)So she will have to step down as some point before 2100.
Honestly after passing the $3.5T bill. The most significant of this century, that would make a nice capstone to her career.
Not wishing that. But the pieces would fit.
Honestly I would be surprised if there wasn't speculation along those lines.

(26,721 posts)She hasnt explicitly said (AFAIK) that its her last term in Congress
but thats widely assumed.
But what the story appears to be speculating about is a departure before that point- which doesnt appear likely

(10,417 posts)They're just dredging up old news and lying about it. Nothing to see here.
They got the covid aid, and the House passed or would pass voting rights, BBB and "bipartisan infrastructure". If Manchin/Sinema could be dealt with so Biden could sign them, it would be a great accomplishment.
Great for the country, and a good point for her to pass the torch if that's still her intent.

Turn it over to some new leaders.
