Has anyone else had this happen?

I got several really weird texts from friend. He hadn't sent them. I was really confused because the texts didn't sound like him at all. He hadn't sent them.

My phone number is on my FB business page. FB had a few billion members info stolen.

Everything is back to normal now.

2. Its more likely that your friend was successfully spoofed or even outright hacked.

As part of this, your message system receiving software was unable or unwilling to detect the problem.

My Messages is unable to block an apparent Facebook corporate account. of course, its spam or worse

4. Once every few months, I'll get some odd message like "Hi"

I don't normally text at all, so it's very conspicuous. I just block the number immediately.

we're repeats of messages I sent him days ago. And there was a little comment added.

He can see the messages from his side.
