(6,582 posts)I use Android & it sometimes happens to me with Apple user emojis. Sometimes I don't see an emoji, I just see a rectangular box with an X in it.

(113,215 posts)one provide some context or elucidation. Failure to do so is a rather common occurence on DU.

(11,002 posts)If you choose not to access popular websites, its not on anyone else to make sure you are caught up on what is posted there. In fact, Id say common courtesy would dictate just skipping the thread and not complaining about someone denying you access to information you refuse to look at.

(575 posts)much like we have "nt" to indicate the body of the post contains nothing further than the title. So those of us not on/able to access twitter don't bother opening it.

Weissman's tweets would occasionally come up in my Twitter feed, but I rarely retweeted him. He did have a lot of followers, though.
I am always a little leery of those who converted abruptly. Don't know about this guy.
Although there are plenty of Republicans who despised Trump so much they really did change. Probably because they are truly appalled by how bad the GOP has become. If they are, they will PROVE it.
They want the GOP to change into something resembling normalcy. In the meantime, they will support Dems.
I never thought I would be retweeting someone like Bill Kristol, for example. But he's not just talking the talk, he's walking the walk. He's actually actively involved in the Virginia governor's race.

Twitter is a dumpster fire. At least Facebook is useful in that my friends and family are there. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything good, informative, or useful come out of Twitter.
Edit: I'll amend this. Nothing politically useful comes out of Twitter. Why people think our national discourse needs High School For Adults is beyond me, but here we are.
