I still cannot quite get over the surprise and happiness when I see a woman raised into higher positions. This would be awesome.

(30,998 posts)for nothing. There were very few opportunities for women when I was in school, teacher, nurse secretary, and the ever present housewife. Fortunately there were a few female photographers for role models, and thats what I went on to be. I hope the girls in school, who saw me working as a staff photographer, know that they can do whatever they set their mind to.

(34,104 posts)I graduated from High School in 1971. I still could not have a checking account unless my dad signed on to it. No credit cards. I missed having to wear white gloves at college by one year. Helen Reddy blew my mind. It has been a very long journey for women. I am so pleased to see all the women that Joe Biden has called upon. I fear the falling back but I think we can out do the bad guys.

(30,613 posts)NASA and SpaceX are both far better than the "Old Space" good ol' boy network was.
I'm less confident in Orion and SLS themselves. Both have been major, costly clusterfucks. I hope Boeing, et al, get their shit together soon.
