General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsJoe Biden is doing a great job and he has put together the best team I have ever seen.
The supply chain problems are not his fault but he is still working to fix it.
Republican obstructionists and 2 bought off Democratic Senators are not Joe's fault but he is still
working to get things done that the American people want to get done.
An ISIS suicide bombing in Afghanistan was not his fault but still he did the right thing in getting
us out of that unending war and pulled off the largest international airlift/evacuation in history.
The Taliban was escorting Americans and our allies to the airport and we did not lose one American.
Joe is not responsible for misinformation on Fox and the like along with Russian backed misinformation
on Facebook telling people that their free DUMBS are being hurt by getting a life saving vaccine and
trying to stop a global pandemic. Many republicans and their wealthy backers actively want the C-19
nightmare to keep going because they think that it will keep them in power because of a very Machiavellian
use of "chaos theory."
Joe is not responsible for the violence and brutal poverty in Central America that is MAKING people flee
their homelands and try to come here. However he has Kamala working on those tough issues with those
governments and international agencies and she is doing it quietly because that is what grown ups do.
Joe and Kamala have put together and are still building a new and very diverse Democratic party that will
be a juggernaut which will crush the republicans in most states in '22 & '24 if we get out and work. Joe's
got our backs so can we have his back?
BTW Joe is responsible for Jen Psaki and her daily ass kicking of turds like Doocy.
Jen's M.O., stupid question ... Then she does her head tilt, half smile, flips hair, nuclear powered laser beams from her
eyes (which we can't see), and then she drops the hammer. I want to have her children.
BTW I think this is a good time for me to take a break from DU for "a little bit."

(18,973 posts)He inherited the worst US economy since 1947 for growth, and took over for a President with the worst jobs record since Herbert Hoover. What he has done in terms of the economy is stunningly spectacular. Experts predicted several years for a recovery and he'll have us back by mid 2022.

Half as bad as AG Barr is not what the country needs.

(13,912 posts)unless theres evidence of malfeasance on Garlands part. Biden has said that the DOJ will remain an independent institution.

(39,351 posts)Which is why I cant get behind this OP. While the other side builds momentum based on past fictions, Biden has tried to move on, and choosing GarlandMr. Dont Look Back, the norms just need to reassert themselveswas a big part of that. From a political standpoint, it isnt working and it wont work.

If only they had the complete support of their own party.

(6,226 posts)knew how our government works, Biden's numbers would be much higher. It's so clear that the blame of holding things up belongs with the repubs.

(6,544 posts)Couldn't agree more with your post, Downriver Dem! I have friends and family I keep in touch with via Facebook, so I do get a smattering of anti-Biden memes. Then I post a respectful set of facts refuting misinformation such as you did in your post today, and I thank you for it!
It hurts my heart when DUers display similar lack of civic information, and then that healthy dose of facts are needed. Research and facts are badly needed in today's world, imho!

(9,005 posts)there are many good things going on, if people can see thru the haze and muck that is constantly thrown up all over the place by FOX and bots and impatient Dems.

(54,302 posts)I would not let the shriller voices drown out your own. Yes, there are the one-trick ponies (for trolling Republicans, that's "pony's" in Republicanese) with their own agendas, as if no others were worthy of consideration. One can ignore the posts without ignoring the posters (my personal preference, anyway). You never know when someone you thought you had no time for might unexpectedly have something interesting to say.
If a post has the word "corporate" or "corporatist" or "capitalism" in it, I just pass over it. If it has nothing but Bernie Sanders quotes, or praise for Nina Turner or anyone who supports her, I just pass over it. When the personal attacks on me for something I had (in my mind) not done got me in trouble, I bowed out for half a year, but that was in 2016, and it hasn't happened since (either that, or I was too stupid to take note of it).
By the way, I'm with you all the way on Jen Psaki--I think she is the best White House press secretary I have ever consciously been aware of, and I knew Pierre Salinger personally (he was an almost-neighbor, and was at the house visiting my dad a few times). That's how far I go back. Jen Psaki is what I think Aaron Sorkin originally had in mind for The West Wing, but figured anyone as good as she could never really exist in real life.

Biden needs to... comments are hilarious and annoying at the same time.
Its reality....!! Really ? Whose reality?
Your dire opinion is not my reality.
I still support Biden. I dont have any expectations that he will make things worse. I have expectations that he will salvage and improve on the mess Republicans continue to create.
Before he was elected some folks were stating it will take years to undo trump damage. Now hes elected hes moving to slowly. 🙄
