moderates...?

...I wish the media would stop calling manchin and sinema moderates, they're not...AOC and Bernie are moderates...

...machin and sinema are die-hard conservatives with little compassion and understanding for the working people of this country...

...so, 'zero' is okay with manchin, then as far as I'm concerned, 'zero' it should be...we as a Party should stop being blackmailed and bullied by these outlandish conservatives...we should not yield to their evil demands or accept their evil ways...

...roll the dice...totally blame manchin and sinema for the complete failure of the package and the now real need to elect Progressives if we ever wish to get things done...

...accelerate and focus mainly on the 1/6 investigations and the attempted overthrow of our democracy...accelerate and destroy the credibility of the traitorous trump and the many traitorous pukes that supported him and his overthrow...get super serious, get super patriotic, get super mean...we will be rewarded next year if we do...

...now is not the time to be timid...we can talk a good talk, but can we deliver?

...hang in there...

Map out the political spectrum of congress, and you will find those two around the middle.

and I will have to disagree wholeheartedly that AOC and Bernie are moderates; name half a dozen political figures that are significantly to their left.

Lets not commit political suicide, we don't have the margins to pass anything radical. Pass what we can, and hope to be in a position to build on it after 2022. Better to make incremental progress than try to do everything at once and end up with nothing.

The problem with pressuring Manchin too much is that we need him far more than he needs us. He can easily follow the footsteps of WV's turncoat governor Justice. We have effectively no leverage.

2. Yes, Manchin and Sinema are conservative, but don't misrepresent that AOC and Sanders are moderates

4. CNN yesterday reported on the struggle between Democratic "moderates"

and "progressives." "Moderates" were represented by conservative Manchin and self-described "centrist" Sinema (which would be conservative compared to her Democratic colleagues).

"Progressives" were represented by Pramila Jayapal by on the most distant left of the Democratic caucuses.

There was no mention that ANY conservative Democrats existed, no mention that the roughly 240 liberal Democrats existed, including not even the @100 members of the house's progressive caucus, most of whom are strong liberal Democrats.

6. I agree. I object to them being called moderates as well.

There are other words that would be more accurate.

7. Where do moderates stand on the spectrum between Bernie Sanders and Ted Cruz?

Or on the spectrum between Ilhan Omar and Matt Gaetz?

If Bernie and AOC are moderates, who is to the left of these moderates? If there are significantly fewer than 50% of the lawmakers to their left, they are no moderates.
