…the Astros bench coach who set up the sign stealing system, a guy named Alex Cora, was the skipper of the team the Astros beat to make it to the Series.

My position on this is, if you don’t want the other team stealing signs, which they all do (it’s legal if you don’t use any technological aids; usually the runner on second does it because he’s got a good line of sight to the catcher) then train your pitchers to read batters and quit using signs entirely.

10. I didn't like the Astros cheating

... but after living in Houston for 40 years, I decided to get over it. Every team looks for an advantage, and Houston is not the only team to ever steal signs. Houston just got caught. Still, what they did was wrong.

But it wasn't Houston's cheating that shut down Boston's bats.
