the recoil of a live round would send the bullet in a direction the shooter would not anticipate. uncle ray Oct 2021 #5

"There have been reports of labor unrest on the set of the film, where Mr. Baldwin also served as a producer. Several members of the crew walked off the set earlier this week over working conditions, according to several people familiar with the shoot".

I hope all avenues, including disgruntled employees, are investigated. Someone, or a few someone's, screwed up big time, and it cost a very talented young woman her life.

Why did Mr Baldwin fire the gun? Was he in character and actually acting or was he goofing around when the weapon got fired ? ....How would a photographer and the director get hit...if he was in character and filming wouldn't the target be another cast member in the film?

i'm gonna guess AB doesn't spend much time on the firing range. he'd probably be lucky to hit the broad side of a barn as they say. that would mean anything in the general direction of firing the gun would be at risk. he may well have been "aiming" away from the victims. an inexperienced shooter not expecting anything other than a bang is not going to be prepared for the recoil of a large caliber handgun.
