.....Consistent with CDCs guidance, consumers are urged to:
Stop using this product immediately. Do not open the bottle. Do not attempt to throw away or dispose of the bottle.
Double bag the bottle in clean, clear zip-top resealable bags and place in a small cardboard box. Return the bagged and boxed product to a Walmart store.
Wash sheets or linens that the product may have been sprayed on using normal laundry detergent and dry completely in a hot dryer, bleach can be used if desired.
Wipe down counters and surfaces that might have been exposed to the spray with an undiluted disinfectant cleaner.
Minimize handling of the product and wash hands thoroughly after handling the bottle or linens. Wash hands thoroughly after removing gloves.
If you have used the product within the last 21 days and experience fever or other symptoms, seek medical care and tell your doctor about the product exposure. Your doctor may recommend that you get antibiotics (post exposure prophylaxis) to prevent infection.

(15,672 posts)2. The manufacturer should be mentioned not Walmart.

(8,052 posts)4. They really should publicize what factory this came from, because
there could be other stores that have similar products from there.

(15,672 posts)5. Very true.

(33,992 posts)6. My reaction, as well, but I can't find that it is sold anywhere else.
And the recall is by Walmart, not Better Homes and Gardens (the manufacturer)

(15,672 posts)7. Thanks. I just wonder if leaving out the info on where it came from
may cause some to not look as closely at the label. Im sure many shop at Walmart, target, big lots, and other stores abd may not remember which store some purchases were made.

(33,992 posts)10. I took the post as another Walmart slam -
and thought the same thing: The product, not a single vendor, is the problem.
But - as near as I can tell - it must be a Walmart exclusive.

(15,672 posts)11. Good points all around.

(4,656 posts)3. This is only a little related, but I was given one of those cheap diffusers
and I put it on a windowsill and started filling it with various "essential oils" that mist out and smell good. The houseplant hanging in the window died. That was the end of that.

(25,106 posts)8. Oil is not good for plants. Some plants are more sensitive than others.
There are other chemicals that are irritants to plants too.
The only mist near a plant should be water.

(15,930 posts)9. Walmart has stopped sale of the product. The product was made in India.
Not sure what checks and balances there were for this product but since it was manufactured in India I highly doubt it was. Hence why most of our jobs went overseas, cheap labor and no oversight, no regulations. The companies back home are completely fine with it.
