I've noticed that more and more, they report about how BAD Joe Biden's performance is becoming per their polling. Yet, you very rarely see anything over there about Jan. 6th, or about the GQP/US Taliban Party or about anything that's right-winged. What's up with Nate Silver?
I mean, they give Rasmussen a B rating if what my friend said is correct.

(1,786 posts)It seems that everything they write now bashes democrats. I thought about ending my daily newsfeed but it is a good idea to keep tabs on the enemy.

(6,974 posts)I know Pres. Biden doesn't care about polling.
What I'm talking about is this very uneven coverage about what tRump/GQP was trying to do. We know the Faux Noose isn't going to report at all about these HUGE bombshells coming out daily now.
I live in California, and knew that tRump twin Elder would lose. TBH, not by the amount he lost by in a landslide, but I knew he had no chance vs Newsom. But in many articles leading up to election night coming from the NY Times you'd have thought that Elder had a chance. In fact, the NY Times said that Newsom 'survived' recall after the election. Survived? But then again, I left the NY Times around the the time they and Judith Miller were cheer-leading for Bush/Cheney's wars on humanity. Funny how now they went after Biden almost daily about pulling us OUT of Afghanistan. I've not been too happy with the Washington Post lately, but they had an outstanding, detailed article out today about all of the Bull Shit about how tRump was giddy in KNOWING that they'd be able to steal the 2020 election from Biden/Dems on January 6th 2021.
Most in the MSM and corporate media are on steroids about how 'badly' Biden's doing, yet they are not addressing any of the huge bombshells that are coming out about the Jan.6th civil insurrection that appears to be drawing MORE of the GQP/US Taliban Party. There wasn't any doubt in MY Mind that tRump/US GQP/Taliban Party were hell-bent on stealing the 2020 election from Biden/Dems. Jan. 6th rioters met with the GQP, tRump staff dozens of times, promising a blanket pardon by tRump for all who entered the Jan. 6th civil insurrection .... Hunter Walker went to town over in Rolling Stone, yet I'm only hearing about this from smaller media outlets. Maybe I have to give it time, because there is bombshells after bombshells coming out. Gomert, Gosar, Cawthorne, Mo Brooks, Boebert, The House Freedom Party. Cavewoman Marjorie Taylor Green is in deep trouble if what this Rolling Stone writer said is true, and speaking for me, I know most or what all was written about in Rolling Stone is true.
But there's no doubt whatsoever that tRump and his cohorts the GQP were trying to overthrow this government, and that we came pretty close to losing this country and what democracy we have left, and yet the mostly corporate and mainstream media's still pretty ho hum/indifferent. I cannot watch Political shows on the weekend, as they mostly have GQP'ers on LYING, and they're lies are not pushed back on, and we know Chuck Todd's too busy not pushing GQP'ers back and with his "Both sides do it" crapola. Look at what's coming out about Facebook. My God it's sickening about what Facebook's done and gotten away with it.

(15,568 posts)They are reporting on poll results- do you want them to exclude polls that are more unfavourable to Biden, or report the big picture with accompanying data and ratings?

(5,554 posts)2020 had another systematic polling miss where Republican turnout was under modeled. This is an accuracy win and thus a higher rating for right leaning pollsters.

(56,828 posts)if there are a few negative polls, it will affect Biden's ratings.
Unless there were a rash of polls on the Jan 6 Treasonous Trump Sedition attempt, it wouldn't be on 538. So, blame the media for ignoring the sedition, as they often commission the polls in conjunction with polling outfit.

(13,867 posts)He aggregates polls to provide objective analysis. If his results end up being off the mark he loses credibility, which means his site doesnt generate traffic and revenue.
We have DU, we dont need to ask his site to skew their results so we like them better.

(3,490 posts)I think likely voters are. Its the same old story. Republicans absolutely suck, people vote them out. Democrats cant pass anything meaningful, people vote for the suck again. Virginia and New Jersey should be walkovers but theres an even chance we lose both Governor races.
Every time this happens we get closer to full on fascism. Were just about there now.

In a gratuituosed manner. Oopsed. I verbed an adjective.
Then an interjection.
And it was completely unnecessarilied.
Thereby verbing an adverb.

(58,785 posts)both explain what Democratic voters want and predict big elections with any accuracy at all, years of predictions almost routinely proved to be completely wrong, after -- Too late! Voting's over.
I never understhood in the first decade what they were reporting that Democratic voters wanted (it certainly wasn't what I wanted, and I'm pretty normal!) -- seemingly we were overall both pretty modest in our desires yet worried about the economy and not really happy with our politicians. And especially after throwing out 63 Democratic congressmen for passing the ACA, ncumbents typically ran for reelection from the safe middle, keeping their heads down to avoid attracting attention.
A picture completely blasted by the enormously enthusiastic reaction across the left and into much of the moderate right to Elizabeth Warren's iconoclasm. (Oh, yeah -- and in the middle of our supposed disaffection we did also proudly elect and reelect our first black president overwhelmingly and finally enact that national health program after 70 years of obstruction.)
A majority of the big MSM political information sources, including biggies like the NYT, AP, MSNBNC and CNN, work to elect Republicans and sabotage Democrats. Finally occurred to me to wonder: How likely is it that they would ignore the statisticians who provide the data their agents use to explain their interpretations to the electorate?
