It surely wasn't elected politician ratting on themself.
Maybe it could have been someone on the staff of the Congressperson(s) in question.
It could have been one of the insurrectionists that has been arrested and charged for the 1/6 riot that was being coached by a Congressperson. Maybe they cut a deal to spill the beans on these Congresspeople to keep themselves out of jail.
Any other theories as to who was the source of the Rolling Stone Article?

(17,152 posts)Just Rolling Stone's way of differentiating between the two. It said "We'll call one the event planner and the other the event organiser (I think)".
And one of the insurrection honchos is testifying on Friday before the 1/6 Committee.

In her Facebook post, she speculates..

The story says that two sources who are talking to the January 6th committee about planning the January rallies in Washington, D.C., have talked to Rolling Stone as well. They say they worked with congressional lawmakers and White House officials to plan rallies both in Washington, D.C., and around the country. They deny that they intended to storm the Capitol and imply they got used, which points to the sources being from within Women for America First, the organization that sponsored a bus tour and rallies around the country before heading to Washington for January 6.

Interesting and hopefully, credible...

(7,281 posts)If I'm remotely correct, I would have zero, zip, nada ounce of faith in the report that they were tricked, or deceived etc.
I don't buy it anyway, but especially if it turns out that Ginny was involved with Women for America First.
Nope.
