depending on a person's income for the first 52 weeks in Canada and about 37% of income for the remaining. When I had my son 40 years ago we had only 4 months paid leave but it was at 75% of salary.

mothers are nursing for longer periods of time. Many people wanted more time so they made it longer but a lower rate. Most people only take the first year. It guarantees your job will be there to come back to. Not always the same position, but one of same level of pay.

In Russia, if you had 4 children spaced three years apart, you would get 12 years of paid leave.

Are fathers given the same amount ?

Moscow does provide paid parental leave that can be used by one of a child’s parents – mother or father – or the child’s primary caregiver.

We’ll be told to be grateful for anything and will be called half a loaf. The cycle will continue. America IS without clothing, but damn, we think we are stylin’!
